Note - this might be a difficult to read, for which I apologize profusely for.
So, it's been a couple months since my last post.
In my last post, I was anxiously awaiting my follow-up appointment on the 29th, during which I was sure I was going to have the Clomid possible upped a little more since my progesterone numbers were still a little low. I was disappointed, but I was anxious to start the next round.
A few days after my post, I tested (aka POAS) and it was negative. I was disappointed, but I didn't think it was going to happen. That was on Father's Day.
Throughout the next week, I felt what I thought were PMS symptoms - all good signs that for once in my life my period might actually come on time since I ovulated). I was moody/emotional, crampy, and my boobs hurt like a mo-fo. The weekend started and I still didn't have a period. I felt a little off, so that Sunday morning I POAS again for the heck of it...and couldn't believe my eyes - a BFP!! I couldn't believe it, so I yelled to DH to get his arse in the bathroom right.now. He goes to the open the door, but if was locked (his 3 teenage adolescent cousins were spending the weekend w/us), so I do the pants down waddle to unlock and open the door, and he quickly shuts the door. I pull myself together and show him - we laughed and got teary eyed...but he was afraid to trust it so he asked if had anymore, and I told him I had one. He tells me to drink some more and test again...so I do, and its positive. He tells me to go to the store to get some juice and another box of test to try a different brand...needless to say all three of those were positive. After we drop the cousins back at their aunt and uncle's house, we go to Target to get another box, this time using the digital. Yes, my husband is a bit crazy...but he wanted to see it in words, not in little lines.
I haven't written anything on here about it b/c I wasn't sure what to say, or even if I wanted to say anything. I was nervous and afraid of offending anyone, since while I consider myself still an infertile, I know how difficult it can be to hear other's happy news. Even while pregnant, I still felt hurt hearing about other ladies conceiving so easily, but that may also be in part to the fact that at such an early stage, it is/was hard to even comprehend the fact that I was/am in fact pregnant. All of these emotions combined with the fact that we only told a very select group of people our news until we hit the 13th week.
I'm not sure yet how I want to continue this blog. I've tossed around the idea of starting a private baby blog for friends and family (including of course, my novembies :-) ), especially since I'm not terribly fond of putting u/s and belly pictures and later baby pictures out on FB for everyone to see. Call me what you will, but I don't know that I completely trust the FB privacy settings. Since DH's family is bit less tech savvy, a private FB for just family may also be an option. We'll see what happens, and I'll let everyone know what we decide to do.
I won't be posting on here too much, as I don't want to much pregnancy stuff/talk on here; maybe just quick updates or thoughts on IF.
Well, I guess that's it for now. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
